I was overdue for a new project, which I'm sure you can all agree on. So, what's the deal here? As you might have guessed, it's a chess board.

= What do I ask of you? =

Easy! Request a piece that you want, and as long as it isn't already taken, I'll approve your request, and you'll get to make it!

It needs to follow the bases provided, and here's an explanation of the numbered pieces:

1 - Pawns, 8 of each color.
2 - Rooks/Towers, 2 of each color.
3 - Knights/Horses, 2 of each color.
4 - Bishops, 2 of each color.
5 - King and Queen, 1 of each for each color.

That means there will be a total of 32 participants in this project, based on a "First come, first serve" philosophy. So if you ask for a piece first, you'll get it. If it's already taken, you get to pick another piece.

When all pieces are filled up, we just need to wait for everyone to finish their pieces, and then we'll have a full community-made chess set! ^^

= How to Enter =

Leave your comment here. That is the ONLY way I will accept your requests for pieces, all notes, e-mails, etc. WILL BE IGNORED! You have been warned.

Once you've gotten a piece, get working on it, preferably using one of the bases provided. Submit it to your gallery or to your scraps, and then send me a link to it, either right here or via note. On this matter I will accept notes and such.

= How to Make Your Piece =

There is a sample of what I ask for (and it is also my entry ) in the top right corner of this submission. You will see that I ask for a FRONT view of the piece and a BACK view of the piece. Well, not straight on front and back, but at that diagonal angle, so that they fit properly on the board.

Once all the submissions are in, I'm gonna submit the final project result as a new deviation, featuring all the pieces on two chess boards, so you can see them each from the two angles provided.

= Entries =

I will list all available pieces, and if one of them is taken a name or reason will be listed after it.

The name of the piece will also be italic if it is taken.

If no name is listed, try reading through the comments and see if the piece might be taken by someone I haven't had time to fill in yet, it'll save you the chance of having no piece at all and also save me the time to reply to all the ones asking for a taken piece.
