I wanted to make a halloween-ish emote. And I wanted to make something simple, so I used a simple shading style, nothing too fancy. Just wanted to put focus on the expressions rather than the shiny shading I usually use these days.

First, it was only going to include the first guy, the green one. But then I had ideas for some other reactions, and I originally planned to make them separately from this one. But, I dunno, I just kinda felt like using them all in a row, for comical effect or something, and this was the result.

That "thing" that pops out of the blue guy, that's a chestburster, the "infant" stage of a Xenomorph in the Alien movies (and books? and games!) and such. He's using a fake one to scare people, obviously. Explanation of reactions: Green one got scared and ran away, pink one wasn't fooled and deffinately wasn't impressed, and the purple one... well, it kinda over-reacted. And killed that alien bastard... but then realised it was only another person, so it quickly disposed of the body and stripped it's purple layer so that it could impersonate the blue one. Or something. It had to loop, so I made it a silly ending.

The animation itself is kinda sloppy at parts... I know... but...

I've been working on it all afternoon, and now I have a splitting headache, so I'm not gonna bother to write much more than this.

Surprisingly, this just ended up being the most frames I've used in an emoticon. It's exactly 10 frames longer than my previous record, in :time:.
