It's a project!
Yup! It's been overdue for a very, very long time, so I'm finally here to tell you, this is the launch of a
brand new emoticon project!
I hope you're all ready and eager to take part in it, so here we go...
EmotiKingdom Project
In earlier projects, I've strived to build something
really high and something
really wide, so I sat there thinking what the next direction should be. Well, the most obvious choice, thinking threedimensionally, would be
depth, but that would be quite hard to make something out of. So, when on the buss the other day, I realised: I should just aim at huge
size, period.
Born was the idea of the Emoticon Kingdom, or more simply the
EmotiKingdom.
What would it include, you ask? Anything. Absolutely anything. I want everyone to simply create anything they wish. What I provide for partisipants is a board of sorts to place creations on. A flat, isometric surface that people can build and create anything they wish within.
Daunting? Perhaps, but I think youre ready for the task.

Heres the basic Base Template I created for the project:

The size of this plane can be expanded in any direction, and theres infinite room for anything you might possible want to add.
But we need rules!
Well, yes, ofcourse, otherwise everything would be a royal mess. So, here are some guidelines:
-Your entries can be howerver large you wish, however they need to go by the standrard scale of deviantART emoticons, where a standard emoticon is
15 pixels tall, 15 pixels wide.
-There can be slight variations in size and proportions to the actual emoticons populating the world, but buildings, landscapes and objects need to be scaled to fit the above mentioned standard. Otherwise, things will look odd in the end.
-While overall size of an entry isnt really limited in any way, dont go out of your mind making something so huge that it would crush the world or anything. If youre worried your idea might be too big or odd, just ask me about it.
-All entries
must be static!
What do I want specifically?
Be imaginative. Think outside the box! Create emoticons that live in the kingdom. Create buildings where they can live. Create mountains, seas, beaches, shoppingmalls, roads, godzilla, or whatever else you wish. There are close to
no limitation as to what I will accept!
Think of it as a project in which you have almost complete controll of the end product. Im only here to place your creations on the plane.
Heres an example, its my first entry to the project:

Cause every kingdom needs a border and a border patroll. Or something.

And heres what it looks like added to the project:

How to I add an entry?
First, submitt your entry to deviantart.
-The entry
must be in either
GIF or
PNG format with a blank background. Otherwise, it will be really bothersome for me to add them to the base.
If you dont submit an entry as a deviation, it will be hard for me to give you proper credit for your creation.Second, send me a note with a link to any entries you want to submitt.
Theres no limit to how many entries you can send!
I will try to respond to your note as soon as I can and will try to update the project as often as possible.
So, what are you waiting for??
Start right away! Make as many entries as you please.
If you want, show your support for the project! Journals about it, stamps about it, and whatever else you think could help.
I want this to really be the
largest community project ever here on deviantART.
Lets rock!
